Lagoon!

This year,  Ernst & Young, took all the employees and their families to Lagoon.  The girls had never been and they LOVED it!  I haven't been since I was a teenager- so being pregnant riding all the kiddie rides wasn't as thrilling but it was fun to watch the girls have so much fun.

Another family from our neighborhood was there, so Maggie was in heaven with the older girls.  She went on a little "drop zone" like ride.  I think this was the scariest one she went on.
We had to do the Ferris Wheel.  I have to admit, I did not enjoy it at all.  It was just really high and scary-  the ride is kind of lame.

These pictures were just cute so I had to throw them in.  Lizzy loves to play with Brad's fancy headphones.
And Maggie got her own measuring tape at Smith's and Edwards on our way home from Bear Lake so I have to document her measuring everything.

Carter Reunion

I did not get enough pictures from Brad's family reunion.... But we had so much fun!  We stayed in a cabin at Bear Lake.  The kids had so much fun playing together at the beach and outside around the cabin.  This is Maggie with the boy cousins around her age-  they are sure funny!

Late Summer Happenings

Lizzy is starting to get into the girly, girl things like dressing up.

High heels go with every outfit for Lizzy.

My Mom's extended family reunion happened to be this summer in Utah so I go to go for the first time in years!  It was fun to see cousins and all of their cute new kids!  It was up at the Heber Valley Girls' camp where we usually go with Brad's family-  the girls had fun climbing on the bunk beds in Grandma's room.  We didn't stay there-  just went up for the day.

Having fun painting rocks with a new friend in the neighborhood.

A beautiful rainbow in our backyard one evening.
Brad was so excited to get a weed wacker for his first backyard!

The girls love this Minnie Mouse puzzle.

Eating cookie dough during a sleepover with cousin Elle.
They loved having a few sleepovers this summer!  Elle is awesome at entertaining the girls with fun activities!
Sometimes, Maggie needs a nap but won't "take a nap"  so she falls asleep on the couch instead.

We have loved living in Fruit Heights.  Just up the road from us is an awesome Castle Park-  they have a big Founders' celebration there once a year for free-  our girls LOVED the train rides, bounce house, and rock wall.  It really was a fun event!

 In her ballet clothes...
 Watching a show.

Thanks to our friends, we got to tour a chocolate factory.  It was fun and yummy!

The nut clusters are really "hand-dipped"  It was really cool to watch her do it.  She was a pro!
Castle park with Kate-  Lizzy and Kate had a sleepover this time.

Elle and Maggie had a sleepover in Salt Lake and they went to bed past 10!  Right after I picked her up the next day, she crashed in the car.

Jerry Callister Family Reunion 2014

This year, my family went to Dana Point Beach and stayed at the Residence INN.  We had so much fun!
Lizzy LOVED the beach.  The sand didn't bother her at all.  She would get it in her mouth and hair and roll around!
Maggie loved playing in the water.  The first day she hated the salt and sand, but then she realized how much she love the waves- so it was worth it!
Lizzy went surfing with Uncle Matt- I only got video, no good pictures of it.  But she was hilarious.  He would ride a wave and I would be standing waist deep ready to get her but she would shake her head and say "no, no- more, more."  So Matt kept taking her out- wave after wave.  Thanks Uncle Matt!
The hot tub had lots of bubbles!
 Matching nightgowns
 The Chicago brothers-in-law, together again!
My dad spent a lot of time in the ocean with Maggie while I stayed ashore with Lizzy.
 Best Grandpa ever!

Our Salt Lake cousins, Kate and Elle, got there a day late because their brother Jake went into the MTC.  Maggie was so happy once they got there!

Blurry picture- but it's the only one I have to document how well they both played together.  We still miss Illinois!
Kate had some really good quality wave time with Lizzy.  It was really cute.

Saying goodbye to cousins is never fun.  I'm pretty sure we had tears in the car.

Uncle Matt gave Maggie an Album shirt.  At first, she wasn't too thrilled with a "blue" shirt but when I told her it was for Uncle Matt's surfboards- she said- "I LOVED surfing with Uncle Matt so I LOVE this shirt now!"  She likes to pair it with leggings and a headband ;-)
